"I have received classes from different professors and I must say that Luis contribution to my playing has been the most constructive, solid and stable of all of them. With him I studied all the superior degree. I remember his classes were serious and demanding, although he also demonstrated great doses of patience and humour.

Always with the viola in hand, explained what it is not written and that with the words cannot be said.  He continues to impress me with his quality of sound, his technique and his desire to keep in progress his instrumental and musical level. By all I have said and what I need to say Thanks MAESTRO!".

(Elena Martin is professor of viola at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Avila)

"The teaching of Luis Magín appears in my memory like a stylistic and expressive type of crucible in what the technical principles are purified, and all professional must master. During the years I have studied under his guidance, he crystallized in me a procedural anchorage that has guide my career: the importance of listening to, analyzing, understanding and feeling the music, always persecuting the target so many times expressed by my professor of getting an authentic “viola sound”.

(Sergio Sieiro is Professor of viola at the Superior Conservatory of Music of La Coruña)

"Being studying with Luis has supposed a pleasing experience at both personal and professional level. He not only teaches you how to play the viola repertoire, but he creates different situations for you to face and how to be able to confront them.

He is a person with a very ample and varied knowledge of music and he doesn’t doubt to transmit that to his students. He has been able to develop in me how to know and investigate new forms of expression and musical interpretation, as well as new styles that until now I did not know".

(Iriana Fernandez is viola student at CONSMUPA and member of the JONDE)

"I knew Luis two years ago in the J.O.S.P.A (Youth Symphony orchestra of the Principality of Asturias). This first encounter encouraged me to audition for his studio at the CONSMUPA, and I began to attend his class, in which I have been two years already. Luis is not a professor who gives you things done, but offers different ways to arrive at the goal so that each one chooses the one that believes more proper.

Thanks to his way of understanding education and by means of his always positive and encouraging advices, I have obtained a greater confidence in my possibilities. He has taught to me to have a better knowledge of my body and the viola, increasing myself confidence while I am in public performance and to play the viola becomes fun, either in Chamber music, solo or orchestra".

(Juan Ureña is viola student at CONSMUPA and member of the JONDE)

"I meet Luis through a professor the conservatory of Avila who recommended me to study with him. Thanks to his patience he managed to remove a potential that I did not know completely. For me Luis has been the best professor than I have never had and probably will. He is a great musician in all senses, not only an incredible violist, but a complete musician, a person overturned in his students. Thank you very much for everything what you have taught me and for giving me all the knowledge that you have".

(Raquel San Pedro is Professor of Viola at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Ferrol)
